Lexi HOLIFIELD
17 Pink Head Coach
A Wyandotte County native and graduate of Sumner Academy of Arts and Science, Coach Lex places community and ecosystem building at the forefront of her mission. She is an alumna of Tuskegee University, where she earned a B.S. in Sales and Marketing and played on the Tuskegee University Women's Volleyball team on a full ride scholarship after walking on her freshman year. She will complete her M.Ed. in Mathematics in August 2026 and is going into her 8th year as an educator in the greater Kansas City area. Her career highlights include creative marketing, photography, journalism, music and podcast production and Information Technology.
She served as the Head Coach of two club teams; 14-1 and 15-1. She was the Assistant Coach for a year at her Alma Mater, Sumner Academy, and the following year at Central High School in Kansas City, MO. She helped to pilot the competitive volleyball team at KC Girls' Prep, serving as a coach for two years. She helped to uplift the team to place 3rd in their conference. She will be serving as the Assistant Coach at Lincoln College Preparatory Academy this year and this will be her first year coaching at Mentality.
